My family is not crazy about chicken nuggets. (I know, they’re weird) However, I have an easy chicken nugget recipe that they think is the bees knees.
A few years ago, a lapse in shopping created this strange vacuum that threatened to starve my children to death (very dramatic). It seemed we had very few things with which to make a supper. We had the box store size bag of chicken nuggets, two jars of homemade spaghetti sauce and some cheese. This easy peasy recipe was born from that fateful day.
This is great for date night, whip up this easy chicken nugget recipe before you and the hubby go out. Win-win.

Easy Peasy Chicken Melt
- One healthy size bag frozen chicken nuggets (no need to thaw)
- 2 Jars Spaghetti Sauce, your favorite
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese (I usually use a bit more, but we’re cheese fans)
- 3 cups crushed Cheezits® (any flavor)
- Preheat oven to 325°
- Layer Nuggets in large Pyrex dish, cover with sauce. If you have a lot of mouths to feed, just keep layering nuggets and sauce.
- Top with cheese
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle the crushed Cheezits on top (this was added my my brilliant daughter after we had been eating it sans the Cheezits. It really makes it over the top)
- Return to oven, bake about 10-15 minutes longer
And that’s it.
*Variation: A few times we have put a layer of pepperoni on top of the chicken before putting the sauce on. It makes it really yummy, but it’s really not necessary, it just makes it taste kind of pizza-ish.
Have a great Friday, make it paisley!~KeriAnne
