My oldest son is a guitar player. He is, for the most part, self taught. He did have some lessons that we bartered for a few years ago, but it wasn’t long before the teacher said he had surpassed his skill level to teach.
Alexi Murdoch and Other Eclectic Musings
Ryan would like to be able to make a living with his music, but that is a tough business, especially in this climate. So, for the time being, he has two jobs and plays when and where he is able. All that to say recently he told me about a singer named Alexi Murdoch. I’ve always encouraged him to listen to and learn from a wide variety of music.
We have our favorites, but we can appreciate a wide variety. It’s good to broaden our horizons.
That’s how I’m feeling about the garden right now. I want to stretch a bit but I’m not exactly sure in what direction. I am thinking about installing a coffee bed. I think it would be awesome to be able to roast and brew my own coffee.
I guess I’ll keep you posted about that.
I’m preparing a bed for carrots and parsnips. I think I’ll wait until the middle of August to plant though. It’s really hot here right now.
So what interesting, eclectic things are ya’ll planting this fall? I love to hear from you.
Oh, and if you like folksy, acoustic music, check out Alexi Murdoch.
In the meantime, have a paisley week.~KeriAnne
